As a platform that steadily seeks to make and keep everyone happy, we have added some updates to listings to ensure that our Guests and Hosts communicate better with respect to cancellation policies that are acceptable per listing
What is a cancellation policy?
A cancellation policy is simply the rules guarding and guiding how a guest can cancel a booking made on our platform. This typically involves the amount of money the guest will be refunded if they cancel a booking within a given time frame.
We have the following policies
1. Partial Refund
2. Full Refund within 48hrs if the check-in date is at least 16 days away
3. Full Refund on Cancellation 7 days before arrival
4. Full Refund on Cancellation 30 days before arrival
5. 100% Refundable
6. Non Refundable
Here’s a brief explanation of each
1. Partial Refund: No refund on first night but 50% refund on remaining booked dates
Booking Date: December 06, 2022
Check-in Date: January 31, 2023
Refund Possible: Yes. Partial refund
Refund Date Expiry: Not Applicable
After December 08, 2022, no more refunds are possible.
If you have a booking from a Guest for January 31, 2023, and the customer booked on December 06, 2022. There is no refund for the first day of the booking and there is a 50% refund on the other days of the booking.
2. Full Refund within 48hrs if check-in date is at least 16 days away

Check-in Date: January 31, 2023
Refund Possible: Yes, full refund
Refund Date Expiry: December 08, 2022
After December 08, 2022, no more refunds are possible.
A 100% refund is possible before December 08, 2022, if Check-in Date is 16 days or more away.
If you have a booking from a Guest for January 31, 2023, and the customer booked on December 06, 2022. A full refund is possible until December 08, 2022. After December 08, 2022, no more refunds are possible.
3. Full Refund on Cancellation 7 days prior to arrival

If you have a booking from a Guest for January 31, 2023, and the customer booked on December 06, 2022. A refund is not possible.
A. Adding Cancellation Policy to a new Apartment
1. Visit Your Host Dashboard
2. Click on Manage Space on the left-side panel
3. Click ‘Add Space’
4. Fill in all the necessary information about the apartment
5. On Attributes Section Scroll to Cancellation Policies to select your preferred cancellation policy.
6. Click on ‘Save’ and we are done!
B. Editing an existing space to add cancellation policies.
1. Visit Your Host Dashboard
2. Click on Manage Space of the left side panel
3. Click on All Spaces
4. Locate the space you wish to add cancellation policy
5. Click edit button beside the listed space
6. Navigate to the attributes section.
7. Scroll to locate the cancellation policy section under attributes
8. Select preferred cancellation policies
9. Click “save changes”
In conclusion, cancellation policies are good for both our guests and our hosts. While we hope our guests don't have reasons to cancel, we also firmly believe in making life easier and faster for our guests and our hosts.
